  2. Betsie (her sister) Ten Bloom

  2. Nollie-pretty girl and all the boys liked her
  3. Mama
  4. Tante Ana
  5. Willem
  6. Karel
Decisions:

The decision of Corrie not wanting to go back to school was a mistake to me.
I disagree with her decision because I think it is good for people to have a good education
and she should really have more social practice around people she doesn't know as well.

Also the decision of Karel's parents making him have an arranged marriage, I think is hurt-
ful to not just Karel, but to Corrie Ten Bloom. If they both love each other, I don't get why
parents try to take control back then. I think Karel and Corrie will end up marrying in the end of the
story. That is my prediction.

Did Karel's parents find Corrie unacceptable? Sometimes parents think some families are beneath them depending on social status, etc. It's sad to think that because this is a true story - Corrie still lived with knowing she never got to marry the man she deeply loved - and the same is true for him.

Affects of Minor/Major

I think Karel the minor character, affects Corrie, the main character because Karel broke her
heart and hurt her. Nollie affects Corrie as well because she takes away the spotlight around
the boys. Tante Jans got diabetes and so that affected her family and the main characters.
Many of the Tantes died in the book so far.

The entire diabetes piece really affects the story. Corrie and everyone else are always worried about getting medicine to Tante Jans, and when you are hiding from the Nazis, it can be dangerous to try to get medicine, and horrible to not have it.
